ABOUT
Jeu de paume, meaning “game of the palm” in French, is the historic predecessor to modern tennis, first played in 12th-century France. What began with bare hands soon gave way to gloves, paddles, and eventually racquets — a game embraced by nobility and royalty, with courts rising in the palaces of Versailles and beyond.
Founded in New York in 2025, our label seeks to carry that legacy forward. Jeu de paume is more than a name — it is a commitment to honoring the sport’s origins while celebrating the elegance, discipline, and beauty that define tennis today.
